  • Chris Larson

    Nordic Committee Chair
    Computer Wiz, Skier, Trail Builder

My interest in community involvement and outdoor recreation began many years ago when I helped run the Wasatch Telemark Series and was a founding board member of TUNA (The Utah Nordic Alliance). After that time I moved to Park City and among other things ended up on the Park City Planning Commission for eight years. I ended my involvement in Park City as a member of COSAC (Citizens Open Space Advisory Committee), which advised City Council on how to spend ten million dollars in open space bond money. I have been living in Teton Valley for the last 5 years with Cathy, my wife, and my two year old son Nils.

  • Randy Blough, President

    Trails Committee Chair
    Harmony Design Partner, Groomer

Originally from Pennsylvania, Randy moved west in 1991. After 8 years in Boulder, Colorado and 4 years in Salt Lake he was drawn to Teton Valley. Attracted by the small town lifestyle, abundant outdoor recreation opportunities, and outstanding scenic qualities of the area he has called Teton valley home since 2003.

With a degree in Landscape Architecture and experience in Civil Engineering and Planning, Randy had a private consulting firm and worked from his home office in Alta prior to meeting his wife and business partner Jennifer Zung. Randy and Jennifer met in 2004, started a local engineering and planning firm (Harmony Design, Inc.) in 2005, and married in 2007.

Randy has been involved with TVTAP for several years as a volunteer for race events, special committees, and trail maintenance days. He has also volunteered as a trail groomer for the Alta Nordic track. He believes strongly in the vision and mission of TVTAP and is enthusiastic about helping to develop and implement the meaningful programs and projects of the organization.

  • Buol Heslin, Treasurer

    Membership Committee Chair
    Ophthalmologist, Guitarrista, Sheep Rancher

Raised in Connecticut, Buol was introduced to this beautiful area when he visited with a youth group in 1958 that climbed the Grand Teton with the Exum guides. It left an indelible impression.

Buol's career was as a Manhattan ophthalmologist/cataract surgeon trained at Yale, Virginia and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Known for the development of computerized microsurgical consoles and techniques that facilitate sutureless cataract/implant surgery, he has taught widely and has served on the Board of professional societies and on the Editorial Boards of ophthalmic journals.

Buol and his wife Janet Conway changed from summer and winter visitors to permanent valley residents 3 years ago. They live in Alta with their sheep, horses and dogs and are avid hikers, runners, bikers and nordic/alpine skiers. They share the vision of TVTAP in enhancing the outdoor environment for current residents and proactively planning for and preserving it for future generations as the valley evolves.

  • Bridget Lyons, Secretary

    Pathways Committee Chair
Yoga Studio Owner, Mtn Biker & Skier

Bridget fled from her home state of New Jersey as soon as she could to roam the wide open spaces of the western U.S. and work hiking, skiing, river travel and sea kayaking courses for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). She eventually found herself drawn to the beauty, friendliness, and recreational opportunities of the Teton Valley and began to call Idaho home six years ago. After several years of managing NOLS operations in Mexico and Chile and living in the valley part-time, Bridget became a co-owner of YogaTejas (formerly Bodywise), the yoga studio in Driggs, and is thrilled to be a local business owner and full-time community member. A committed yoga practitioner, Bridget teaches four to five weekly yoga classes and manages day-to-day operations at the studio. She cultivates a dangerous and unshakable addiction to mountain biking in the Big Holes, but has been known to be seen running, hiking, and skate skiing on trails and pathways throughout the valley as well.
